These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the services provided by Dementia Companions LLC, a Florida-registered company providing in-home dementia companionship and care support services. By engaging our services, using our website, or submitting an enquiry, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Dementia Companions provides in-home companionship, personal support, and care coordination services for individuals living with dementia and their families across Florida, including Miami, Orlando, Tampa, and Jacksonville.

Our services are not a substitute for medical care, clinical treatment, or professional nursing services. Any health-related concerns should be directed to a qualified medical professional.

Our services are available to individuals and families in our active service areas in Florida. By requesting or receiving services, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal authority to enter into this agreement on behalf of yourself or the person receiving care.

Service schedules, hours, and specific arrangements are agreed upon between Dementia Companions and the client prior to commencement of care. Scheduling changes must be communicated with reasonable advance notice.

We aim to match clients with a consistent companion, however we cannot guarantee the same companion in all circumstances, including due to illness, emergency, or other unforeseen events.

Service fees are outlined at the time of engagement and are subject to change with reasonable notice. Payment is due in accordance with the agreed schedule. Late payments may result in suspension of services.

All fees are stated in US Dollars. Dementia Companions reserves the right to update pricing with a minimum of 14 days’ written notice to existing clients.

Either party may cancel or terminate services with written notice. We ask for a minimum of 48 hours’ notice for scheduled visit cancellations wherever possible.

Dementia Companions reserves the right to suspend or terminate services if there are safety concerns for our companions, or if the terms of this agreement are not adhered to.

All companions undergo an AHCA Level 2 background screening prior to placement. We take the safety of our clients seriously and conduct thorough vetting of all staff. Clients are encouraged to communicate any specific concerns to our team.

Clients and their families are responsible for providing a safe environment for our companions to work in. This includes informing us of any known risks, medical conditions, or behavioural considerations. Dementia Companions reserves the right to withdraw services if companion safety is at risk.

We treat all client information with the highest level of confidentiality. Personal and medical information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable Florida and federal privacy laws.

Our companions are bound by confidentiality obligations and will not share client information with third parties without consent, except where required by law.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Dementia Companions shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with our services.

Our total liability shall not exceed the fees paid for the specific service in question. We are not liable for any medical decisions or outcomes beyond the scope of our companionship services.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of our services or website after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
