Every caregiver on this page has done four things before meeting a family

  1. 01

    Sat for a recorded interview

A real conversation about how they care for someone with dementia, published so you can watch it.

  2. 02

    Been screened for dementia experience

We look for hands-on experience with memory loss, confusion and late-day changes.

  3. 03

    Completed Florida ADRD training

Florida’s Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders training, finished before the first visit.

  4. 04

    Waited for your yes

No one is sent to your home until you have watched their interview and chosen them.

How families use these interviews

Choosing someone to spend time with your parent is personal.

An interview shows you what a résumé cannot: how a caregiver speaks, how patient they are, and what they have learned from people living with dementia.

While you watch, listen for:

  • How they talk. Calm, simple sentences and a warm tone matter more than polish.
  • The hard moments. How they handle confusion late in the day, or a loved one who does not want help.
  • Real experience. Stories about people they have cared for, and what they learned.

Questions families ask

Are these the caregivers who would actually visit?

Yes. Every interview on this page is with a caregiver who works with families in Miami or Naples. When you ask for profiles, we send interviews of caregivers available near your loved one.

What training do they have?

Each caregiver is screened for dementia care experience and completes Florida’s ADRD (Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders) training before the first visit.

Can we meet a caregiver before care starts?

Yes. You watch the interviews first, then choose who you would like to meet. No one is sent until you decide.

How much does it cost?

$35 an hour for 40 or more hours a week, with no contracts. Caregiver profiles are free.

How do I find a caregiver for dementia?

Look for someone with real dementia experience, not only general elder care, and hear how they talk about it before you decide: how they handle a refused bath, repeated questions or a hard evening. With Dementia Companions you tell us about your loved one and, within 48 hours, watch 3 to 5 caregiver video interviews, then choose who meets your loved one.

Ready to find the right companion?

Tell us about your loved one. We send 3-5 matched caregiver video profiles within 48 hours. $35 an hour for 40+ hours a week, no contracts.
